Ben may have a man on the ship but the freighties also seem to have a man amongst the Others

Where is Charlotte and Dan getting all their knowledge about the island from. They have just landed on the island and yet they know more about it than our Losties who have been there 94 days; and have a map and know the location of places that Jack and co do not.
Everyone is busy trying to show that the return of Michael means that Michael is Ben’s man on the ship, and if that turns out true then it will hardly be a surprise to anyone here and perhaps to many a bit of a let down.
However what should be of more interest is the inside knowledge that the freighties have about the island. They know about the station that Goodwin worked at, and my guess is that probably only a small number knew about that, Ben and Juliet, and some others.
So it would appear the greater mystery is who is the source of information to the freightees. My guess is that it is probably the last person that we would suspect of working against Ben and the Others. My guess is that it is Richard, just as he helped get rid of the DI when they had served their purpose now he may be planning on getting rid of Ben and finding a more useful replacement.
I feel that Richard is only loyal to his own secret agenda. I hope to hear some of your thoughts.
